valve adjustment, but still chatter after warmed up
ok, so i did a valve adjustment this weekend
get done, button it up, sounds perfect... no ticking. great.
so, i go out, warm it up normally, rip on it a bit. come back into the garage.... tick tick tick. sounds just like it did before the adjustment. WTF? same thing this morning after all is cooled down. tick tick tick. sounds like a ****** diesel.
engine is JDM H22a
specs are:
.006-.007 intake
.007-.008 exhaust
three intake valves were a bit tight. so, i set them to .007. all others were at .007
any ideas?

When the engine is cold and you start it, does it still tick?
perhaps you adjusted it on the "looser" side of the specs you were aiming at. The valve lash migh expand out from being heated up
