Default after valve lash, power lossed

I adjusted my valve lash today. I have a d16y8 and the intake valves are at .008 and the ext is at .010. The manual says intake .007-.009 and ext .009-.011. Now that it's all adjusted to specs and quadruple checked. I took it for a drive and the car seems to have lossed power. Not much, but just enough to notice. Weird huh? Oh well. Any ideas?

When did you do the Valve Adjustment? Was it while the engine was hot or cold? Make sure the motor is cold, and adjust to the tighter spec. I usually set mine tighter, so for you do .007 int and .009 exh

Was it your first valve lash adjustment??? It takes experience to know how much tension you should feel when you slide the feeler gauge in and out. First time I did it, I had someone else check it out, and I was not even close to what I felt was "correct"

I hear "slight drag" is actually quite heavy. I'll go in again soon and recheck everything.
