vtec?
It's not like a prelude or a GS-R that you can feel/hear.
It comes on, dependant on throttle pressure, 2500-3000 RPM, roughly. Your probably trying to listen for it at a higher RPM and well, it's aready working.
And to kinds go back on saying that you can't hear it, you can.. I use to not be able to, but once I did my lil Vtec light and I was able to tune in when it came on, you can hear a ever so slight change in engine pitch

If the ECM and it's associated wireing wasn't changed, the vtec part of it will not work (and it traditionally fires off at about (it can vary) 4500 to 4800 RPM), The LX is not equipped to support the F22b1 as it comes from Honda.
