skunk2 stage1 camshaft (searched)
from my experience...they suck...had them on a 00 gsr...intake header exhaust msd f/p regulator, v-tec controller, cam gears....slowed the car down...maybe it wasn't tuned right...made v-tec hit harder and was loud as hell but when it came down to time slips..it was slower...every car is different though...

i second that! i hated my skunk 2 cams
Buy ctr or itr cams you will be alot more happy and they perform alot better with less tunning

Shocking, did you put it on a dyno? Tune it? What as your air fuel ratio before and after? S2S1 will make more hp then CTR/ITRs but yes, the off vtec cam lobes are almost identical to stock so its only top end power. If you're gonna half *** things, just go with the ITRs because they are more forgiving for slapped together builds.

yeah you must have not had your car tuned right, a buddy of mine has this on his car with a tuned hondata s200 I/H/E/IM on his GSR stock dyno went 141hp and 120 tq befor the cams. after the cams and tuneing he went 160hp and 132 tq. 1/4 mile time went from 15.6 to 14.9..so i'd say its on tuning.

tuning has to do with everything...the skunk 2 cam will give you more horse power if you just want numbers...the only give more power at about 7500 rpm and up...and when you redline at 8k, your really getting nothing....but in reality the ctr cam will give you more power throughout the rpm range up to 7500 where it will lose to the skunk 2 cams...so if you want big numbers...go with the skunk 2 cams....if your want better all around power...ctr is the way...hell im running stock gsr cams in mine and they seem to be working fine...<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 95 integra »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

it wasn't put on a dyno...and i would waste money on a dyno just for cams seeing that its a daily driver and everything changes with elevation and temperature...and those two factors changes alot up here in the northwest...

You will probably feel less than stage 1 cams than stage2 cams. You SHOULD upgrade your pistons to get more compression in order to run stage 2 to their full potential.
I think the best cam to use for stock bottom end b18c1's is the buddy club 3+. It has amazing midrange. It made 11hp over sknk stg 1 in midrange, but on top end the sknk overtook the buddy club3+. Most driving is going to be done in midrange anyway, midrange is more of a usuable power.

so they suck that bad?? did u gain any mid or torque? did u get a single stage manifold?

hes right, that why they say to use s2 cams with s2 im cus the care are over 7k peak hp, and the mani is 7-9k.
i acutally have a question, with forged internals, & a fully built head be able to rev to 9k easily? or would u have to upgrade crank shaft?
also meth guy: maybe from your first post before, maybe its cus you had a piggyback and not actual tuning? or maybe different tires or some kind of track condition?

Even with stage 1 cams and an intake manifold, you'll be making most of the power around the 6-8k range. Stage 1 cams dont really make power to 9k. Stage 2 cams make power to 9k and stage 3+ go to 9500+. Stage 1s generally peak around 8400-8600. Ive seen a 12:1 CR motor with stage II cams make more power over the entire powerband (from 2500+) then a 11:1 CR w/ stage 1 cams so its not just a top end power thing. My old GSR w/ toda A cams w/ 11:1 compression peaked out at 7900 rpms (hp) and torque peaked at 5600-6200ish. I pulled it to 9000rpms and it sloped off after 8k.
