Question about radiator, radiator fan and oil cooler
If i want to change the stock radiator to sth like the spoon or ARC, could i use the stock OEM radiator fan?
Also if i change the radiator and put a Greddy oil cooler on the R, would it be too much?
Thx for ur time and input

i actually bought the oil cooler already, but i don't have time to put it on yet.
The reason i bought the oil cooler is that i often go to the track. so having a oil cooler can let me stay on the track for a longer time, and goods for the engine.
for radiator, i am getting a good deal on them.

how do you figure it'll let you stay on the track longer?? i've done a couple of hard driving HPDE events@Infineon with the stock radiator and still have yet to go past the half way point in my temp guage, it's not needed... at all
a larger radiator isn't needed.
an oil cooler? i don't see it doing any harm, and if you feel like spending money on it, then that's great. but there are a ton of other things you can do first that would be more beneficial.

Agreed.
After installing a Spoon temp switch and thermostat, I can't reach proper operating temp...this is in addition to a Fluidyne Rad, which was more then enough it would seem for cooling.
However, I also believe that it would be VERY necessary to purchase and install and oil cooler. Cool oil is crucial on a hot day. Also, get BAFFLES installed in your oil pan. Especially if you end up running R compound tires.
One thing I would worry about is brake pads and lines. Also, get your suspension figured out.
Brake fade and understeer will kill the fun of an HPDE.

I completely disagree with everything.....
I would get a set of aftermarket gauges and then decide what to upgrade next.
Yes it makes perfect sense that the oil and water temps will go up when you hit the track.... but even so, having a bigger rad and an external oil cooler does not guarantee that you will not exceed safe operating temps.
Upgrading "everything" without monitoring is a false sense of security.
