Default Pic Request: De-badged ITRs

I am contemplating cleaning up my car a bit by removing all decals and the badge that says "Acura" above the left tail light. Does anyone who's done any of this have a readily post-able picture?

Meh, leave it alone, unless you're doing it as a theft-deterrant. Debadging makes the car look like it's been in an accident (repaint), IMO.

Plus, you will have the holes up front (emblem), the holes in the back to fill.

If Ross is doing it as a theft deterrant, he picked the wrong color.

Not taking anything off the front. The red "A"s will stay where they are. Maybe I'll just take the decals off and leave the badges.

Of course it looks a bit different now but you can get a black idea

I'm guessing you've seen these pics for the most part already. Personally if I had a fairy yella banana, I wouldn't bother. But just ask me anything.

I'm not doing it for theft deterrent reasons. I just want to see if it looks better. A little more mature, perhaps.

My car is undergoing a little makeover, and this might be part of it.

I'd guess that both of those would be subjective. But I can tell ya one thing, when I see anything honkin yellow now I don't immediately think "mature" Ross But I know where you're coming from completely.

My ITR is getting one of those. Probably a new wing, and new wheels in a few months.

I wonder if it would look naked. It's highly possible, but I think those "Type-R" stickers look a tad silly.

it does, the first couple days weren't too bad, but after that i couldn't stand how it looked, really. the decals are part of the car imo, maybe after having mine on for 5 years and then not was the reason i didn't like it.

The decals and badges are all a part of the car that belong on it IMO.

The red badge ("H" or "A") is a must for a type-R, IMO.
I think without the R-badge there is something missing.

After my tail-accident i only remove the trunk-lock, the stickers i'm removing when i have buy the ITR.

Debadging an ITR is like replacing the B18C5 with a K20.

It just ruins the spirit of the car.

Just for you Ross

I had all my emblems/badges, keyholes, and license plate holes shaved off my ITR ~5 years ago... let me see if I can find some pics.

Found'em!

I just realized... I shaved the front license plate plugs off my USDM front.... I kinda like the JDM license plate holes so I kept these

I used the rear doors off a 4dr Integra for the "shaved" door handles... it was a lot easier to find back in 99-00.

I kinda miss the red A badges though... but then whenever I see Integra's with a big guage and leftover residue where the A badges used to be, I don't miss it at all!

And I've realized ever since I removed all stickers/badging, I hardly get harassed by ricers anymore. Must think I'm a poseur now

For a while, I liked having just the one badge on the back. Now, post respray, I might be sacking up and spending the ~$70 on the side stickers... they just seem necessary to the car.
