LS VTEC problems

Default LS VTEC problems

Im going to a ls vtec in my 91 Si, just wondering what ecu you used. I was told that the PR3 is to lean for the ls with type r pistons

cspeedracing used a obd1 gsr p61 on thier lsvtec. i would think that the pr3 would be to lean anyway with or without the itr piston due to the larger displacement. your best bet would probably be any obd1 gsr or itr.

I was thinking of going to obd1 anyway i guess i can use my skunk2 P28. Just tryin to save money and have access to a PR3. But i dont want to run lean. OBD1 here we go i guess

why not just buy a fpr and turn up the pressure to compensate for the extra displacement and it running lean?

misconception, pressure is pressure, not volume, that may help a little bit, but your best bet is to go obd1 say a p28 or p72 your chipped sk2 p28 prolly wouldnt be a bad idea...

Yea im thinking that the chipped P28 will work good. It was crazy when i put this ecu in my 92 teg. I had a P61 and vtec was barly noticable sound wise, I plugged in my chipped ecu and vtec got louder and it actually kick during X-over. Im thinkin converting to obd1 and using this ecu cause i think my ls vtec would love it
