Perhaps a vacuum line has come off.

check your brake and clutch switch... they might need some adjustment. if they aren't engaged while your pedals are released they could be causeing your system to not work.

 

I had a similar problem with mine, and mine hasn't engaged since the winter began.

Checked the pedals, and under hood and everything seems to be ok.

 

i just finished my Cruise Control swap from my EX coupe to my CX hatch so i know the system pretty good now... If i could help, let me know...

i don't even know how to work my cruse control.

Cool, thanks for the ideas. Yesterday I was driving on the highway and was trying to figure it out. On a smooth stretch going about 65mph I tried to engage it, nothing. Without hitting the clutch or brake, I just repeatedly hit the set button. It finally went on. Made sure it wasnt just the dashboard light that was giving me the problem. The system looks pretty simple. Its just an actuator, vacuum tank, control unit, and a few switches. The worst part looks like having to mess with the SRS system to get to some of the cruise control parts. Better read up on how not to have an airbag accidentally deploy in my face </TD></TR></TABLE>

yeah, it's not too bad. (SRS System) just disconnect your battery and let it sit for like 5 min before you start messin around with it. The helms does have a thorough wire test section. do it up man...

 

hold your clutch pedal up with your left foot and turn cruise control on. it should work. most likely he clutch switch is bad or not at the right height. also if it does go on, when you hit a bump it shuts it off bc the pedal moves.
