Default couple general questions about motor swap on 89 crx

first off I'm looking at putting in the d15-b vtec in my crx, whats the difference between the longblock and short block? i was told the long block was better for running a turbo but i wanna make sure first. 2nd question, i plan on swapping my auto tranny with a 5 speed. I need to figure out what all i need. as far as i know the only extra part i need is the pedal kit. But i'm sure it's more then that. thanks 4 any info

Long block is complete motor..Block and head with manifolds most of the time..Shortblock is just the block..(Bottem end only)

Yeah thats a good number..Get a small size turbo like a t3 or 14b,and get good management,,You could get 200whp with the stock motor and fuel system,,But its in the tuning..
