like my topic tite says theres a whinning sound when the cars driving coming from the drivers side dashboard area. it goes away when im stopped like at a stop light n stuff but it starts again when i start going.

would drilled rotors make a sound like that? just a thought lol because i heard that the holes can make a weired sound when spinning because wind is hitting them or something like that?

 

i believe that it is the speedo cable

 

is there ne way to fix that? but than again today when i drove my car it didnt make that sound at all.

 

I think I have the same problem, but mine does it on and off. How would the speedo cable make a noise?

 

yea if it is that cable how would it make sounds? and that sound would it be messing around with the speedo cable cuz my needle bounces as the speed goes up

 

the cable is proabably getting dry and is rubbing against its insulation so it causing friction which in turn causes the whining noise my beater does the same thing im to lazy to pull the cable and relube it.

yes, the sound is on and off, i just finished taking off the gauge cluster to lube it up, it is hard the first time.... but i haven't tested it yet, its been raining ever since here
