Default Best Motoring video: history of Honda Type R

sorry if this is a repost, searched and didn't find it. Covers Honda's history of the Type R starting with the NSX R, then ITR 96 and 98 spec, and also covers Civic R. Has footage of a Group-N Spoon ITR and the last 10 minutes is from the then prototype S2000 being driving around the Nurburgring. The whole video has clips from the Spoon President too which is pretty cool. There's an interesting part for example where he talks about putting a hose clamp around the oil filter for racing on the track, never heard of that.

Best Motoring - History of the Honda Type R - 1:12:46

edit: after watching this video I realize I'm never surprised to learn new things about our caRs. Plus there is some really cool history on the original JDM ITR and how the engines were put together.

I hadn't seen it before.

A Spoon DC2 that looks like Wai's gets a couple laps at minute 56-57 or so.

Long video!!

Can't get sick of watching it! Can anyone explain why the President of Spoon talks about their mod's to the type r as if he worked for Honda? Is their relationship that tight?

I've got the US version of the Type R legends. The crappiest part is the voice dubbing. I don't think whoever translated, didn't do a very good job. Great video, though.

Why does Honda-tech search suck so much *****? I searched "history" and "best motoring" both in recent and archive posts before posting and it turned up nothing.
Sorry for the repost, and I see someone else reposted my repost. Oh well

I did some searching and this site supposedly will convert Google Video to AVI and let you download it. It's extremely slow and I have my doubts that it won't choke trying to convert a video thats over an hour long.

The URL to post into it's converter is:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...=best+motoring

I'm not sure if it's working or not, it hasn't timed out, but it's not doing anything either.

Got it ... it looks like it works with the Google video player .. Once that is installed, it says it will let you download the videos ..

I'm d'loading the player now .. I'll let you know how it goes ..
