Default Non-adjustable shocks

For strictly daily driving, would it be okay to use non-adjustable shocks? I know most people recommend adjustables, but I don't race or autox. I do occasionally drive aggressively on turns so I want something good in the handling department rather than a smooth ride. I am on H&R Sport springs so I have a higher spring rate and would like some shocks to match. I'm on OEM shocks right now with 60k miles. Also, would shocks lower the car more? I don't want it to go down any further. Any particular brands to recommend? What is a good price on shocks?

Well, changing out shocks won't necessarily lower your car more, unless you get Koni Sports (Yellows) which have a perch setting.

But since you don't auto-x or anything, I'd just gor for some KYB AGX's since they only cost $340 and have 4 way adjustability. I have them and having them set to 2 in the front and 1 in the rear feels close to stock, but definitely stiffer. The KYB's are a good choice as long as you don't drop it more than 1.5".

If you don't really care about the how smooth your ride is, I think you'll be alright with any aftermarket shocks such as Tokicos, Bilsteins, KYB's, or Konis.

Remember, you get what u pay for, so be careful.
