I just wired everything up for vtec... now car wont start... turn the key to on to start, doesnt even try to turn over.... hear fuel pump turn on but still no start or try to start..


If the knock censor is dead would it not start or try to start????

 

my roommate had a knock sensor code on his ecu but his car still started and ran

 

whats the cel?

make sure that you didnt switch the vtec pressure plug with the temp plug, if so it wont start, dont ask me how i know

 

Sounds like a ground issue..I dont know about 92+ cars..But on my crx if you take off the ground from the vtec harness on the thermostat housing it wont start,,Wont even crank at all.. Make sure its grounded good..

 

no the knock sensor wont keep it from starting what is your set up?

Knock has nothing to do with it...

A). you knocked the starter solenoid wire off
B). No power to starter
C). Ground issue

 

found the problem, the starter solenoid wire got knockoff when I was hideing wires. Thanks for the help
