lower ball joint HELP

is there any other tools i can use? when i put a cylinder on top of the ball joint to compress and make the ball joint come out there isnt enough room for the ball joint to go though the cylinder. its just way to tight.

There are two other options.
One tool I have only seen at auto shops. You slide it on and the crank a bolt pop the ball joint loose. This works the best and wont damage the boot.
You can also use a pickle fork. Only problem is, most times you tear the boot.

1.pull of the boot from the ball joint
2.use a deep well socket (a junk one and probably better to be a impact socket) just small enough to fit through the hole in the knuckle that the ball join goes through
3.hammer up on the socket to remove the ball joint(don't forget the snap ring)
4.hammer the new one in by just.....well.....hammering down on the top of it
its that easy. that ball joint press is not needed, and if you go to any honda dealer they do it the same way. a ball joint press does not exist in a honda dealship.
btw, i can to 2 accord ball joints in less then 20mins. from the car being on the ground back to the ground, fastest and easiest way possible

i used a pickle fork and beat the hell out of the boot it just didnt work. Then i found a great video on H-T about removel of the ball joint took less the 5 min.great. know one of those cylinders in the pic are just too big and it well not fit over the ball joint correctly.

that is to pop the ball joint from the LCA, its not used to take it out of the knuckle

dude take a pickle fork or ball joint seperator what ever you want to call it and you have to keep hitting it with a sludge hammer until it pops up it will pop up i banged on one for about 20 mins with a sludge hammer and it finally poped out after that to get the ball joint out you have to take the hub nut off and pull the hub away from the driveaxle until there is enough room then you can get it out
dude everthing is apart LCA. the fork for the shock to the LCA. and the axle is out. iam just have a troubles with get the lower ball joint out to put in a new ball joint and then i can put in a my new cv axle and put everthing back together which is easy as hell.
but then i have to undo the sway bar, and the strering bar too. and then i have to undo the LCA bolt which may be rusted on and its going to take way too long. when i coulld of just bought the whole LCA arm new with the ball joint.....
go to advance auto parts and rent the ball joint and tie rod tool. in there there is a tool that looks like a v with a screw in the center use that to grip onto the sides and the use a wrench to turn the screw and it will pop it right out

What?!?!
To get the knuckle off you remove the axle nut, pop the upper and lower balljoints and unhook the tierod on the steering.
Then you can put the knuckle up on a bench and get to work.

the LCA is still in place i am replaceing the cv axle. and ran into a little trouble with the fork trying to get the ball joint apart but then i found a video on HT and it work .
know since the rubber boot is all fu*K up i have to replace the LCA BALL JOINT........

About time sombody chimed in with this. That is the exact way I always do it, 5-10 minutes to remove then just pound the crap out of the ball joint with a sledge and it will pop out. Your sway bar should not have anything to do with it???

If you mean can you remove the knuckle w/ the LCA still in place? yes you can as long as you disconnect the LCA from the lower ball joint on the knuckle. All it takes is to loosen the nuts on the 3 ball joints (tie rod, ubj and lbj) and wack the knuckle w/ a 4# sledge at each joint until it comes loose. once it's loose just remove the bolts and the knuckle comes right out (of course remove the axle nut as well). simple as pie, just takes some elbow grease.
