I got a b16a2 turbo in my 92 vx hatch . my car has been running like crap
i noticed that sometimes the light that bounces on my a/f like turns off
and then my car starts to run like crap and eats up all of my gas and smokes like crap out of the exhaust. i am thinking its my 02 sensor but if it was my o2 sensor wouldnt i be getting a CEL ? my 02 sensor has 4 wires 2 black,1white,1green. if i were to replace this sensor what car kind of car should i ask for when getting a sensor just like this one .

If you get a new one get one for the b16a2. Mehbe the wiring from the afr gauge is messing up the o2 signal somehow.

 

well i am thinking i had this setup for a over a year already i dont think the a/f guage is messing up the signal but if i take the wire from the a/f and dont connect it , could that help?

Well I'm thinking if something is screwing up the afr gauge display it might also be screwing up your o2. I've also heard of o2s just getting lazy and not working right.

Check your wiring. My first impression is the A/F gauge is working fine, it's just showing you what your car is doing - running erratically. Check where you spliced into the Honda harness. The "sometimes" tells me that it would probably go away if you soldered it all up nicely again.
