Default PLEASE HELP: RSX-S oil change question

sorry for the noobie question, i tried searchin and didn't get an answer. anyway, I just changed my oil (mobile 1 5w 30 with mobile 1 oil filter). The manual says to use 4.8 qt (which is about 5 bottles at 1 qrt each), which I did. But when i checked my dipstick, it shows very little to no oil. I checked the dipstick about 5 min after the change.

My quesiton is: should i use more than 5 bottles? How many bottles should I use?

I have a Type S btw.

You have to test it on a level surface, AND with the engine warm. Look at your "Low oil pressure light", if it doesnt turn off you are all in the clear.

no the oil pressure light is a bad indication of how much oil your car has. you should check on a level surface of course, 5 qts should do it.

5 quarts should be good, but if ur have no oil, thats all bad, run ur motor for a lil bit so it can circulate oil and check again

i dont think you guys answered any of his question. when you put in brand new oil, you should not be able to really tell where the line is because it won't be dark enough. you'd have to hold it at an angle in a lighted area to see it. and for the most part, you will see it on the edge of the dipstick.
