i have a 98 accord 4 cylinder auto i just installed a cold air intake and now it makes a whistle sound everytime i press on the gas why is that?

 

check for a vacum leak

 

I've a 99 4 cylinder that does the same thing. There's a spot in the throttle travel where it makes a nice whistle, an untrained ear may think a belt is slipping!!

All the intake tubing and resonator box that Honda put on is to make it quiet..remember, we drive family sedans..

 

What's the big attraction for Intakes? Noise? Leave it stock.

 

Just another indication Intakes SUCK............... (literally) (LOL)
