Default 400 dollars for 17 inch bronz/copper rims with tires... is it a good buy?

there's this kid offering to sell them to me, they got a few minor scratches, very small scratches, tires are very thin and appear to be brand new. 400, should i cop them?

my 95 accord is a dark, dark green, I'm not sure if the color of the rims will blend with the color of my car. pease advice.

I can't tell you if it's a good price or not. You haven't said what kind of rims they are. I'm not considering the tires, b/c you said they're "very thin". I'm under the impression that the tire is sized for Civics (40 series instead of 45, etc).

Generally speaking though, for a set of rims + tires, 400 isn't that bad. I'm iffy about the scratches though.

the scratches were hard to see. the rims were on an integra, the bubble eyed ones. i don't know much about rims, but I'm going to call the guy and ask what brand they are , etc. do you have any other wuestions that i should ask this guy about the rims?

400 bucks sounds like a good deal with tires... if the tires have good tread and the rims are good condition then go for it. If they were on an Integra, make sure they have a univeral 4 lug pattern.

The tires are most likely too small for your car. If it was me, I'd get new ones. Accords use a larger diameter tire than Integras and Civics. While 'Tegs and Civics generally run 205-40-17, Accords usually run around 215-45-17.

i agree with you ^^ but if his car is lowered thats a diff story, ive seen some lowered hondas that couldnt take the full size of a normal accord tire. as for bronze rims on a green car dude no offense and its all about what u like but in my opinion your putting ugly on uglier.

The Integra uses a 4x100mm bolt pattern, as opposed to the '95 Accord which uses a 4x114.3mm bolt pattern. On the face of it, they won't fit.

IF (However) they are dual-drilled (8 holes as opposed to 4) they may have both bolt patterns. IF that is the case, the rims are a "Go".

Tires? anything smaller that 205's will not work well on an Accord. The cars got a fat ***, and needs all the traction it can get for good road handling.

If you can get past the color, $400/set of 4 17" wheels isn't an unreasonable price. I'd certainly consider it.

I'd rather raise my car back up some then have to use smaller tires, but that's just me. Running smaller tires will also cause your speedo to be off a little.

Not to mention the "Roller Skate Syndrome". What next? Hydraulic suspensions for Honda's?
