99 Civic EX

Problem: Power windows seems to be working fine. Just the auto lock is giving me headache.

driver side Power door lock won't work. It locks me out automatically everytime I pull the open handle. Both doors switch to lock. The unlock switch seems to work fine for the passenger side, but driver side won't respond. EVerytime i want to open the door from the outside I have to turn the key to the right (open) and hold it while i pull the handle to open the door. But as soon as I close the door, it automatically switch to lock. Got lock out every time. What is going on ? could there be a short? or is does it have to do anything with me acutator? please help me...

sounds like to me that u have one of ur wires crossed and u are running a constant + to ur driver side power door lock. So everytime u let go ur key or close the door it is pushing back to lock. If the power door lock is stock then u have a short somewhere. g-lcuk

 

could it be anything else?

 

by the way ur describing it then nope. Unless ur switch is broken and its constantly pushing lock. Try unplugging ur power door lock switch on the door panel and press ur alarm. See if it unlocks and locks normally. If it does then its ur switch. Just buy a new one. g-luck
