when i start my 98 teg gsr, stock except for intake and vafc2, the car will be alright, but when i start to drive the heat comes on full blast i can switch it from hot to cold but it will not turn off. what can it be,

 

its either the switch or the blower resistor.

When the resister starts to go, you usually start to lose your fan speeds one at a time untill the highest setting is all you have left, least that has been my experience.

 

is the fan actually blowing or is heat just coming out the vents?

 

not sure if the fan is blowing didnt have the hood popped, but the heat is blowing on full blast but i can still switch it from hot to cold just cant turn it off

 

 

if the fan is blowing and you have no control over the speed its usually the blower resistor.

 

do you have the recirculation button on or off?

Air will still blow out if you have the recirculation button off. Not full blast.. but see if anything comes out if you have recirculation on with the fan turned all the way off.

 

if it does still blow with the button on what does that mean
