need new tires soon, ES 100's ???
i have stock gsr rims, 14 x 5.5
i have some cheap 205/60/14 all season tires on there now, and im looking to get a pair for just the summer, as far as i see on tirerack.com the yokohama es100's are the only ones in the 205 wide size that will fit a 14" rim
i know that there are more tire options for 15 and 16" rims, but i don't have that much $$$ for that right now (unless i find a good deal
)
i am looking for tires just for summer, that will give the best dry traction
i don't want slicks, these still need to last as daily driving, and will go in rear for the winter ........... any suggestions?

i'm also using the yoko es100's. Honestly, this has been my best dry/wet weather tire. I've tried the nitto's, kumho's, capitals, federals, and dunlops....and I can say that I've liked the es100's the most for all weather conditions. Only down side is that it gets noisy once the tire starts to wear down
The ES100 is a very good all-around summer tire - very good dry traction, excellent traction in rain, lasts a long time, and has a bargain price. They also come in 195/60-14, which is the stock size and which I would recommend rather than the oversized 205. The stock size is also five bucks a tire cheaper.
(Or, get 15" rims and 195/55-15, which is only $61 per tire.)

I just mounted my ES100's. I had Azenis and Ecsta MXs before. The ES100's are much quieter and actually made my ride smoother. They have pretty good traction too.

I got mine for $75 each from Tire Rack

I have 16 inch rotas on my DA wrapped in es 100's and I love them. The only other performance tire I have owned are falkens and I like the es 100 a lot better. I also bought them through tire rack because they have decent pricing, super reliable, and the tires got to my house in 2 days. Can't go wrong with tirerack.
