Default custom turbo kit

wassup guys i was wondering how reliable are the custom turbo kits they sell on ebay. It is about $245 for a full kit, excluding front mount intercooler and a blow off valve. too good to be true? Im seriously considering to go FI, and I came across this. thanx in advance.

you get what you pay for, don't buy a whole kit for under $300, that is crazy, it will cost you well over $1000 for all the basics, keeping in mind you will need fuel management, tuning, ect, if you don't want to blow your motor on the first run -

as for ebay, its great, but be very careful what you buy, stay away from SSautocrome, they are cheap, and they break, greddy, garrett, turbonetics, revhard, stick with brand names you will be ok buying those off ebay

Well If you look at the revhard turbo kit or any kit like it. It doesn't have any engine management. It basicly just uses an upgrade fuel pump, and an FMU. **** you even keep your stock injectors. It just increases the fuel presure so it gets a "proper" air/fuel mixture. You can piece together something like that for less than 1k. There's a guy on here that actually has a ssautochrome turbo manifold. All he did was welded on some braces so it can support the turbo. What I'm getting at is just because it's name brand it doesn't mean a no name brand isn't as good.
