ima bout to install stage1 camshaft for my GSR. now im wondering can it be used with stock cam gears and still have a decent power gains? or do i really need to buy aftermarket cam gears?

 

You will probaly notce more gains with aftermarket cam gears because they are adjustable. I would say slap them on tonight and road test it!!!

im planning to slap in the skunk2 manifold and cams tonight and road test it.. but i dont have cam gears.. will i notice anywhere like 10whp? with the mani and cams combo? and how long does it need to be broken in before i start rippen VTEC

 

I would say grip it and rip it man. Maybe I am wrong but a stage 1 cam doesn't really have to be broken in depending on how aggressive it is. I take that back. I would probably run it for a while normally maybe 50 miles or so before vtec. Then I would bring it home and do a valve adjustment, but that is just me.

 

i believe the valve adjustment will be included after camshaft installation
btw.. i have stage1 skunk2 cams.. i know that these are pretty aggressive
