Default Almost done with my 5 speed change over.....

I have done everything there is to do to complete my 5 speed change over on my 2001 honda civic EX acept the ECU. I have just dicoverd a problem I might have. The ECU I got for the swap is one that does not have vtec on it..... and my motor does have vtec.

get a EX ECU. or else drive w/o vtec. it doesnt do much anyways. just drive it as it is w/ the LX/DX ecu. it'll just feel a little slower than usual. you should be fine as long as that ECU isnt set up for a auto.

Without a vtec ecu, You car will not rev past 5800? rpms or whenever vtec comes in. It will be like a rev limiter. You'll need the right Ex ecu. Curiouz stop talking out your *** and misleading people.
