Intermitent Alternator Light
Ok so on my 90 si I've noticed my alternator light flickering. This is the 2nd time I've noticed it happen. But this time it was flickering for about a minute, the last time it only did it once and I barely even saw it.
I had the car hooked up on a VAT machine at school a few months ago and did the 15 sec quick test and put it under a load of half the cca's and it passed with flying colors.
Both times I've seen the light come on is at 6:30 in the morning after work. And today it was pretty damp out so I'm thinking it might just be a loose belt.
After I got home today I pulled my DMM out of my school bag and I was getting 14.3 volts at idle, which should be more than enough. I checked my battery connections and the connections on the alternator itself and they are all fine.
The only thing that makes me want to think its not the belt is that I didn't hear any belt squeel or anything.
What do you guys think?

is the alternator light coming on while you are putting out 14.3V? brushes get worn down and the spring loses its force when the brushes get smaller and over time. this kind of need for replacing is going to produce the intermittent failures.
if the warning light has been coming on, id trust it and replace your alt, or at least be ready to.
