p28 or Zdyne ecu
Since you're doing turbo AND vtec conversion, you're going to need maximum adjustability. Which means the inexpensive "one-wire" Zdynes isn't an option. The Gold SECU is $900+ and getting to be a dinosaur. Its the same product that was released 8 years ago(still no datalogging) whereas Hondata has been releasing tons of new stuff. Check out their new s300. Great prices and features.
Of course there are lot of guys running the "free" PGMFI.org family of products.
The Hondata will require you to convert to obd-1 and run the P28. So you have that additional expense on top of the Hondata cost.
Don't get me wrong, the Zdyne was a great product, its just too expensive for what it does...especially compared to the other options out there today.
edit: okay, I just checked the Zdyne page. They've dropped their price from $950 to $595.
I'll wager to be competitive with Hondata. Since the price of the product is now the same and there is no mandatory obd-1 conversion, it is slightly cheaper to go with the Zdyne over the Hondata.
I'd still pick Hondata though, just for the datalogging capabilities.
