by you sayin chipped, are you meaning having your ecu "socketed" so you can tune your hondata system?? if thats the case you send your ecu to hondata, with a check or money order for 65 or 75 bills, they socket it, then you get it sent back, check out thier site or call them for more info
In the hondaswap link, will the same process apply for an obd-0 ecu? I wanna try this myself, to both learn and to save some cash.
can anyone here chip my p28?, or do i really have to spend 75 bucks + shipping to have hondata do it

But, when, lets say I order Hondata s200, the blue box, chip, etc will all be included right? So all i would have to do is plug everything in and bam, i have standalone?

Check out the "installation" document on hondata's website. It tells you what components other than a 28pin socket you need.

You will have everything...but you will still need to solder in some things for the hondata cable interface wire.

Hondata does all this all if you send it to them right??

Yeah, it should come back completely finished for you.

i thought u didnt have to solder any resistors for the news s200s, i remember they said that was only for the old versions 2, 3, and 4
Honda-Tech Member
Yeah, now that I started thinking....you will just have to add the interface cable...Me thinks..
