I was daily driving a set of RT-615s, and they had more traction than my stock Michelin XGT V4s in the wet, especially stopping. I luckily never found out if they hydroplane easily or not.
And what tire you should use depends on what you want from the tires themselves, and how much you have the spend. I was about half worn at 5k street miles, with 2 track days and a couple of autocrosses.

The goodyear is a great tire, but they aren't offered in a usable 15 inch size.
Look into the Kuhmo Ectsa MX.

If you read the link its about the old Azenis, not the RT-615

Well you'll see a slight increase in wet traction, but still don't expect much. If your even worried about how they do in the rain, then i would consider Kuhmo Ectsa MX or the T1-R.
