I have a 96 civic hatch and sometime in january during winter, my drivers side made a squeeking sound. this happens when stationary or when its moving, turning and over bumps. well the drivers side isn't squeeking anymore, but the passenger side is.
What could be the problem? lower ball joints? or???
Let me know guys! :cheers

if its squeeking when its stationary then most likely its not ur suspension.. cause ur not moving so its doing nothing
so my bet is check something with ur engine
belts er something most likely

it has nothing to do with the engine. as i stated, i first heard it in january my drivers side had the squeeking noise, then it went away and then it became the passenger side that had that squeeking noise.
i had that before if its when you drivin ooil up the suspension. if its while your idle check your ac and ps. my ac makes crazy whining nois in the winter

Again if it makeing the same sound at a stand still the chances of that coming from your suspension is very slim.
Does the sound change at all with speed?, rmps? bumbs? any other actions? or is it jsut constant?

the squeeking sound is the same. i was thinking maybe it was because of the weather up here its always cold then all of a sudden warm.
well like everyone said ... if your stationary and it makes the sound it very much isnt likely that its not suspension at first i was going to say bushings, but yeah .. it happens when you dont move so it may be a belt or something
engine, belts, tranmission, clutch, what ever is moving when it's at stand still. I'm just throwing anything out there. Maybe it's a vibartion making your exterior or interior moving
This is a little off the subject but at my work we have a shuttle we have to drive sometimes and the damm thing squeaks all the time!!! Well anyways my point being is we found out during the winter all the salts and oils from the ground stick to the spring and " coat it ". Well for normal driving its ok but you hit a little bump and its squeaks and wines! That could be your problem...
mine was squeeking on my passenger side while driving, over bumps, and when it was stopped and I pushed down on the fender. It ended up being the dust shield on the back of the brake rotor...it was scraping against the suspension I guess
