thicker head gasket ??
im doing an ls vtec conversion next week, it will be turbo. im wondering if a thicker head gasket would drop my compression and by how much with this setup.
also where can i find a thicker gasket, how much boost on stock internals, and would they be torque different?. any help would bee sweet
set up:
B16 soon LSV
t3/t4 turbo
RC 440's
crom chip p28
VAFC for fine tuning

Generally adjusting compression by using different sizes of head gaskets is not the best decision. This is beacuse it changes your quench distance (the distance btw the top of the slug and the bottom of the head). Proper quench is used to create a cooling effect from the fuel on the chamber and piston. When quench is incorrect, you can have less compression and have more propensity to spark knock. From my experience building chevy motors quench distance is usually about .044" Find out what the proper distance is for this motor, and stick to it!

it was a blind tune was getting to much fuil washing out the piston ring and and thin out my oil, not a good tune. the vafc was used to -fuil gave me a better air/fuil.
so where can i pic up a thicker gasket?

Incorrect. HP and torque are determined by the quality of the tune and the efficiency of the build. Turning up the boost will actually make less power on a 9.0 : 1 engine than on a 12.0 : 1 engine, it will simply be safer to do on a lower quality tune.

Yeah, that says nothing for a VAFC's ability to tune jack ****. VAFC's are ricer toys, not proper tuning aparatus. If you have someone tune with Crome who knows wtf they're doing, you wont have that problem. Why the hell didn't you just retune the car with Crome - which is free - rather than buy a VAFC?
And it's "fuel" not "fuil"
People, the headgasket and the internals don't make nearly as much of a difference as an awesome tune will. If Mase or Church or Sgt. or St00pid tunes your car, you'll have a stock-block monster that will last forever with proper maintenence. Period. All the gadgets and parts in the world won't save an engine from a healthy dose of stupid.
