Im trying to pick up some OEM bearings so i can rebuild my motor this week. I need the crank bearings and rod bearings. I went to acura automotive parts .org site and cant determine which ones i need. I have an LS motor. I called up the local dealership and this guy said something like finding the color of each bearing and then ordering them like that.

I dont have it apart yet and I wanted to know if anyone knows which bearings/maybe part #'s i need and where i can order them without a hassle. Thanks

 

According to the HELM manual, the bearing can be different sizes from motor to motor and is matched against the manufacturing clearance. You really need to take it apart to see what "color code" it is to begin with. You can also order all the possible combination but that is a waste of money.

Don't put the wrong one in there, they are there to match your car's initial condition.
