thats my question. just did a rebuild and it start but i dont know how many cylinders its running on. i know how to check but just didnt have the time. this question just popped into my head. can a car start only firing on cylinder 1? what about only cylinder 3? firing order 1 3 4 2. will it start if it doesnt fire 1?

 

most likely it wont run on 1 cylinder. On 3 cylinders it idles but drives jerky. On 2 it barely runs and pops and jerks. I doubt it could run on 1.
