finished my breather tank
i finished the breather can. its based off of the endyne can design using the fittings on the back of the block, instead of the valve cover. including the metal, all fittings, hose, drill bits, taps, filter and beer, i have between $80-100 in it. the endyne kit retails for $165 so i think i came out on top. what do you guys think of it?
Very professional looking!
Are you putting hose clamps on the ends for insurance? those plastic hoses like to soften and slip in hot engine compartments...

my buddy stole the materials from his work, out of the scrap pile so they were getting thrown out any way. he sold it to me for $20 (gas and beer money) which was cool with me. yes im gonna use clamps, those were pics i snapped with it just laying on the couch right after the paint dried.
cool, I have a catch can that I made for less than 5 bucks or so with an aluminum water bottle I bought from target. Ill post some pics when i get a chance. I too couldnt see myself spending the 160ish bucks for the endyne kit

filter i bought from a local performance shop. its a v8 valve cover breather filter, and i drilled a 1.25" hole in the top of the can for it. yeah that endyne kit is rediculous, but everyone praises it and says its worth the money. i guess thats just the honda-tech mentality that the more expensive the part is the better it is.
please dont flame for saying that!!!

Does that catch can have any internal baffles? Will you be running this setup in an enviromentaly freindly way? If you are, and there isn't, you'll be sucking nice oily air back into your intake manifold. That'll do wonders for your engine's detonation resistance.
it looks like hes running two input into the can and then just letting it breath to the atmosphere. then hes get a drain on the bottom. thats how i see it anyway
First, spell Endyn right, its not Endyne.
Second, put some baffles in it.
Third, you'll probably want to install a baffle inside the crankcase too, if you have lots of blowby, and track the car on a course with corners.

Lol. As hatchbackjdm's roommate and couch owner I thank you.
I'm glad it's finally in his car. I was tired of walking in and thinking he'd built a bong.
