My friend has bought a 95 lx accord. sometimes when he drives it the dash, radio and everything will go blank and before that a check engine light will appear now when it does this the car will die and he will have to jump start it to drive again. he bought a new battery, alternator and battery terminals. does anyone have any input. I guess theres no set time of when it happens but it's quite often every other day I guess.

Why is it we're always speaking of fixing someone's "Friends" car?
Anyway.
If it will start with a jump and run and restart ok until the next episode, you most likely are the victim of a bad Ignition Switch. Honda had a recall on later years for just this problem.
You have to replace the electrical portion of the switch only. (The contacts have worn and you're (he's) loosing power)

I agree with mister Adams on this one.A few years ago I fixed my aunts ignition switch when it broke on her car.And like he said it would explain the dash lights going out first to.
