First off, everyone that posted in this thread is an *******. Well, mostly everyone.

Second, I'm sure a flowmaster would sound fine[1], lots of 4-banger imports use them. If you're looking for a cheap/good sound exhaust, Dynomax Super Turbo and similar ones work well.

-Chris

[1] by fine, I mean as crappy as every other 4-banger with a loud exhaust. If you don't have a cat it'll be raspy and shitty.

Quite the contrary Mr. 7777 it is also dependent on the exhaust diameter.

I've got no cat, no presilencer, just a straight through 3" muffler. I've got no raspy tone. It's a little louder than more, but also very deep for a 4 cyl fart pipe.

having a good exhaust sound starts with the header and then the size, and quality of the exhaust, the resonator all the way through the muffler.

Having a great exahust but no cat.. aka test pipe, could make it sound like **** (raspy)

My car sounded normal with a Toda and my 2.5in exhaust with magnaflow resonator/mufflers.... Once the SMSP went on... all hell broke loose . My car sounds like it kills people when it crosses into vtec now
