MY PROJECT BEGINS....NEED INFO ON AXLES AND ANY OTHER INPUT U CAN GIVE.(H22 INTO 6TH GEN ACCORD)
ok, i'm buying a longblock h22/23 (say which u would choose and why)keeping my stock tranny for the long gear ratio. now i'm gonna take this engine and keep it on a engine crane while i build it from the top up. here are the plans: re-sleeved,89.90mm piston bore, stock compression, custom pistons, raised pin to accomadate a longer rod, cams, black nitrided ss valves, roller rockers,TI retainers, micro polish crank, chro moly flywheel, twin disc clutch, hondata 4b, high volume fuel system walbro pump, stage 2 axles, 12lbs boost on the street 15-17 for ''special occasions'', cam gears. all this should be close to 500whp and 310ft.lbs or torque. my one question for this post is what size axles do i need and where is a good place to get them...also which ones? i believe all i need is the center and driverside axles but i want to make sure.
thx in advance for all the info.
thx in advance for all the info.
i have heard good things about http://www.raxles.com. that's where i'm gonna get mine made for a different application. they are brand new parts, not rebuilds. i've heard of driveshaftshop.com too but i dont know how good they are
just wanted to post a reply to get this to the top of the page. its sunday so i know a lot of u are doing the family thing. thx
hey i have raxles too....just call them up and tell them your application and they'll hook you up...real nice people to deal with. I got my axles for my hybrid from them
I saw a competition engineering ad in one of the current magazines I have advertising some axles. In their ad it states that the axles are guaranteed not to break. Which sounds like a good deal to me. Does raxle or driveshaftshop.com offer some kind of warranty?
