oil pressure gauge?
i just bought an autometer oil pressure gauge, and i was wondering where would be the best place to run the oil pressure line from the gauge into the motor? i know there are several spots u can use but i wanna see what everybody thinks first?
Is it an electric or mechanical gauge? In other words do you have an oil pressure sender unit to run a wire to or does the gauge have an actual line that runs oil to the gauge? Also where are you mounting the gauge?
not a smart choice. did you think about whats gonna happen if for some reason the line breaks, and hot oil comes spewing out either in your face or all over your interior? plus that won't be track legal at some tracks. just a thought..........
I agree....Personally I would just get an electric gauge with a sender unit, much less change of bad things happening...but if your stuck with the mechanical gauge I would definitely mount it low on the dash...below face level!!
thnx for your help guys, im taking that **** back tomorrow and getting an electric one. lol i dont think hott oil in my face would feel to good.
