bad paintjob
hey guys...as you may remember i was involved in a small wreck back in december and had to get my rear quarter panel fixed and repainted..it was a minor dent and the paint was also scraped off a little bit...the estimates were $550 and $820 and insurance payed for the lowest estimate...but...by the time my car got in to get fixed the metal underneath started to rust a little bit...but i thought they would take care of it and replace that sheet metal with something else and then repaint the entire thing...no problem...but today i went out to my car and there's rust showing through the new paint and also the paint has bubbled up in about 4 or 5 different places...i'm guessing that they never replaced that part of the panel and they just pounded out the dent and painted over the rust that was already there...insurance already covered the costs...but who should i go to to get it redone? i refuse to pay any more money for this because it's so minor but the cost to fix it has gotten out of hand...should i contact my insurance or should i contact the place that fixed it...i want it fixed for free and i'm pretty pissed off about it...i'll try and take a pic and post it to show what it looks like...i'm pretty mad right now!
yeah i'm gonna try that monday afternoon...they better not try to charge me or i'm gonna get shitty with em!

same thing happened to my mom . Her hood was replaced and repainted along with the fenders so that it would match. We got the car back now we notice black "dotty" spots on the hood , someone said that they didnt put enough paint and its seeing through. And they didnt match it really well with the fenders. We are waiting for another 1.5 months so we can wax the car . If that dosnt help we are going back . Cause in one small spot i tried Mengiulars Paint Cleaner and it seemed like it was coming off , but i dont know for sure . Got to do the whole hood . Its pathetic how dealers get their work done especially on a 01 accord.
