Put the walbro in and all it does is sputter. was bought used. is this a common problem? what could be wrong? or is the pump just bad? any help would be great. ps, i did search..

What exactly is sputtering??? And what application are you using this in??? Do you have the pickup installed correctly???

it just sputters, i dont know. 99 civic si...

 

sounds like a bad installation, or worse, a bad fuel pump. put your stock one back on and if it doesnt sputter, then it's probably the fuel pump.

 

Im thinking you got screwed on the deal.

 

It might make a little humming or buzzing noise, but it shouldn't sputter.
How is you car running with the walbro pump?
