gahh..axle won't pop into tranny
this topic has been posted many times, but unfortunately I've tried many of the tricks so far (many of which involve rubber mallets) and I simply CANNOT get my passenger side axle to fit into the tranny. I've lubed it up, I've tried giving it a lot of english, everything seems lined up properly..
I have the correct axles (the drivers side slid right in like a pita), but this passenger side is a real bitch..
any help fellas?

mine was a pain to put in as well. just take a long rod or a piece of 2x4 get the axle sitting on the tranny inlet partially, place the object on the edge of the axle, and ram the hell out of it until its inside the tranny. youll find out if it stays in or not by just driving around the block. mine poped out once when i was doin 40 on a main road. i had fun popping it back in. lol
make sure that your axle has the "circlip" on the end. There will be your threads, and at the very end, there should be a ring that clips onto the threads. When I got my re-manned axle, they forgot to put the clip on, and without the clip, it will NOT stay in the tranny regardless.
when I was changin mine out the shaft got stuck in the tranny because of the circlip, snapring, whatever ya wanna call it. I guess you would wanna make sure there aren't any pieces left in the tranny.
