sorry i know brakes have been covered extensively but i did a lot of research and i rarely come across Del Sol applications...
I just want to upgrade brakes and i don't want to spend money on something that won't fit.
My master cylinder is 15/16 so it think that is acceptable. I have brembo sport slotted and axxix ultimates all around. I did a track day recently and i want better pedal feel...i used to have a 00 si and i want the brakes to feel similar to that. i know the Si has the 7/8 master cyclinder so i'm suppose to have a better MC in my del sol now. But pedal feel is not as stiff as civic Si? I already have steel braided lines and ate super blue brake fluid.
Will integra front calipers bolt up to my car? In my car the rotors are the exact same as civic Si and integras...but will the front calipers of integras bolt up? Thanks in advance!

Yes i have the ABS model...i'm not sure if they are the same size because i bought brembo sport slotted rotors for my car and my girl's 00 civic si and the rotors are all the same. But when i bought Axxis Ultimates for both our cars the fronts were different so therefore i came to the conclusion that my caliper is different even though our rotors are the same.
We just did a track day and i was hoping to improve pedal pressure and braking. We both have steel braided lines and ATE super blue brake fluid which i bled both brake systems but her car has a much stiffer feel.
That is why i want to see what my options are regarding caliper upgrades since my master cyclinder is already 15/16".
are you for certain it'll bolt right up? I'm pretty sure integra calipers cover more area on the rotor than my del sol calipers. my brake pads are smaller in size than my girl's Si so i assume the same is true about caliper. Thanks so much!

The part numbers are the same for the integra knuckle and the del sol vtec knuckle.... so the integra caliper should fit. The integra caliper uses a 57mm piston and the del sol vtec uses a 54mm. I too have a del sol vtec so I think this is going on my to do list. I have brembo rotors and metal master pads with stainless lines right now. It works awesome but improvement is always welcome.

wow, i'm always impressed when people know so much on here...Thanks so much
.
BTW's how do you guys know such details about our cars (hondas)...i've had the del sol for less than a year but i don't know much about it...
what is the knuckle? i always hear about it when i was doing my searching but don't know what it is...is it the part the hub is pressed onto?
How is your pedal pressure? Mine is soft initially until i press down more...in other words, it has a good amount of freeplay before it gets stiff. Is yours the same? On the 00 civic si its pretty stiff right up top? Is it due to the calipers?
So any integra caliper will work as long as its not type R? Is the integra caliper same as civic Si? Also do we always have to resurface rotors when changing new pads? Thanks so much for the responses!

The civic si and del sol vtec should use the same caliper....there are multiple part numbers listed and some of them are the same.
If there aren't any grooves or warpage you don't have to resurface the rotors.....but its not a bad idea anyways.
I would describe the pedal pressure in my sol as "firm".....I don't quite know how to describe it. It isn't overly stiff and definatly not soft. How about "just right"?
Have you correctly and adequately bled your brake lines?
The knuckle is the piece the hub sits in that spans the upper and lower control arms.

Thanks guys, yes i put steel braided lines recently along with ATE super blue brake fluid. I bled it but maybe i'll try it some more...i did my girl's car the exact same and hers is hella stiff...maybe i'll try mine again.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably try the integra calipers soon. Baer "track" big brakes are tempting though
