I installed a GSR cluster a month or 2 ago, and my temp wire wasn't long enough to reach the plug. I spliced the wire and extended it, but now the gauage needle only moves a tiny bit and does not work properly. I sodered it and made sure all the connections were good. What else could this be?

An yes it is in the right plug.
Also the needle is only moving a tiny bit around the "C"
