ls swap with ac
Why not just keep the D-series compressor you currently have on the car and just buy an adapter bracket?
I have no idea how a B-series compressor would work, I have never done it. It could work, just put the AC lines to it. I think.

I have not seen the B-series compared to the D-series but the AC lines a on your USDM EF may not work on the B-series compressor. The D-series will work the exact same as the B-series as far as efficiency goes so it will probably be easier making that one work. but again I have not seen the 2 next to each other so I can't be sure as far as the AC lines bolting up.
