Default Damn Valves! Help!!

I was adjusting my valves last night on the gsr and its like I only made them worse! The intake is fine but the exhaust sounds horrible. Heres my question. I've been using a .005 for the intake and .007 for the exhaust. Is this what I should be using? And for gods sake does anyone have a chart on what Honda engines are classified as (Such as B16A) and what that means? (All I know is 16 in B16A means 1600cc) Thanks!

The intake should be .006-.007 and exhaust .007-.008. If the engine sounds wierd, I would readjust the intake. I use a torque wrench to make sure that they are tightened sufficiently also.

I know there is a chart somewhere, but
b16a = 1.6 dohc vtec (civic si)
b18c = 1.8 dohc vtec (gsr)
b18c5 = 1.8 dohc vtec (ITR)
b18b = 1.8 dohc (3rd gen ls)
