Default Civic Exhaust

I have a 98 Civic EX 2DR/COUPE and I want a new exhaust system, but i don't want the ricer sound, i want it quiet..

I want something with a 2.0+ piping

I wanted to get the APEXi WS Exhaust, but they only make the WS2 Muffler

What other options do I have? (Please keep in mind my year and model and its not HB!) I was thinking about getting larger piping and just molding it onto a stock muffler - anyone have any opinions towards that route?

(Please include a rough price range)

I had the Greddy(trust) SP, and that was already fairly quiet to me. I just recently switched to a '03 rsx-s muffler with 2.25 piping leading up to it plus a resonator between the muffler and cat.
I like it a lot, quiet, lost some top end, but it feels like the torque in the lower rpm's were increased a little. I wish I could put that on a dyno to see actual numbers

Hows the GReddy SP2 Sound overall? The reason I want a new exhaust is because this is the 2nd time i have to go to court for "illegal modified exhaust"

sp2 can get quiet loud depending on engine mods such as headers.
if you search ebay you can find a ws system...why not justbuy a ws2 whoel exhaust?
greddy evo2 with a big resonator is quiet, otherwise it'll growl a bit.
stock itr exhaust, twin loop muffler ....so on and so forth. many many ways.....and any exhaust can be quiet if you have a big resonator.

I got the Greddy sp1 6 year ago and the exhaust still look new like the day I got it and I got pull over by the cop and I went to Ref and they test the db on my exhaust and the highest db the exhaust make was 87 db. that with a 1.8 ls motor in a civic and if i was still runing my dx motor I think the db will be lower then 87 db.

only muffler, no exhaust

ok, but trust me and everyone else who has one, it IS a full-cat back. no idea why apexi title it "ws muffler" on their web site, maybe a misinformed web developer, but you can rest assured it is a full cat-back exhaust.
