(Integra) Brembo OEs rusting!
Well, I installed them last week, and there is rust all around the rim ond over the hub. There isn't any around the pad contact surface, but it may have been scraped off. How the hell can they be rusting this fast!!??
Have others had similar experience? The rust doesn't seem normal though. It almost looks like someone splashed red paint all over them, as there are runs that look like a liquid. I remember I sprayed them with a lot of Brake Kleen and just left it, but that shouldn't cause rusting.
Steel wool, will get the rust off but the discoloration is still there, and I'm afraid it will come back.
Someone please help.

totally normal...The disks on my dads Cobra do the same thing...like 12.5 damn inches of Cyan Red baby! Its just water mixing with the fresh metal..gets wiped off everytime you brake
Does it rust after getting wet or is it rusted in some spots all the time? If there are any parts of the pad contact surface (ie faces of the rotor) that are rusted even after using the brakes, your brake pads may not be sitting correctly. Everywhere else, rust is totally normal and you should not worry about it.
Take a look at any older rotor- the edges are rusted to hell and the pad surface spot is fine. Unless you get carbon fiber discs they are gonna rust, no matter who makes em.

Rusting is Natural. Dont worry! You'll hear a couple of squeaks during the wee-hours of starting up your car and engaging in reverse! Then squeaks will go away!
I painted mine, too, but I used high temp black barbeque paint and used a paint brush wherever the pads don't come into contact with the rotors. You can paint the vents and hats. looks real nice and feels good when you don't have to look at your nice clean car and see rusting rotors behind the wheels.
sorry, no pics, but if you can find high heat paint in different colors, you can end up with what ever you want back there. the local ace hardware only had black, so that's what I ended up using.
