Default Tranny problem

My friend has a 94 Accord LX. The car was driving fine a few days ago than all of a sudden, on the highway, the car shifts down to 3rd gear, while the car is in D4. I drove the car around for a little bit and I notice that it runs only in 2nd and 3rd gears even while on D4.

The transmission module is fine and I don't know where to go from here. Please Help!

It's sounds like a tcm to me.But is it hard to get out of park,If it is it could just be a bad shift cable.

going from park to reverse and neutral is fine, just driving gears have problems. Occassionally the car will kick into 4th gear but it's usually just for a minute or two.

Pardon the ignorance but how to I check the solenoids
