Default air/water set-up coming together fabbed tank and PWR intercooler w/pics

I just thought I'd post a few pics of my air/water setup in my Sol. The tank was fabbed up to fit fit where the bumper beam had been, it holds right at 3 gals, and the cap is accessible through the drivers side aux light. I'm using an aftermarket heat exchanger from a Ford Cobra/Lightning. and a PWR air/water intercooler.

looking really good, im telling you right now though and i speak from experience your probably going to want to make a "jacker" or insulated compartment arount the pwr intercooler. heat soak will eventually set in.. maybe my heat exchanger is just too small but i get heat soaked pretty quick.

prelittlelude thanks for the heads up I was wondering about heat soak, if it became a problem I had planned to use a flexible aluminum honeycomb insulation it's good to like 600 deg. and super light wieght. It's all a big work in progress. Thanks for all the comments

looks great...only prob i forsee is cooling issues....hard to tell w/ the bumper off...but sure looks like your cuttin down your front surface area for your radiator...

but def props for a/w....me and tom def can give 1st hand expereince of heatsoak....cummon tom...lets just get a bag of ice...and tool around w/ cold iat's on 90degree days....mmmm

also a sidenote...youll find it easier to keep the heat from gettin in the system...than tryin to remove it....once everythings hot...only thing thats gonna cool it down is ice...or time...

the tank is only 1" deeper than the bumper beam and I've opened up bumper cover opening to allow for more airflow also considering a FAL fan for a little more pull. thanks for all the advice keep those comments coming
