help with ball joint stud
well, I WAS almost done putting in some new axles - when of course something goes wrong.
I was tightening up the castle nut on the ball joint stud, when I realized that the stud was rotating. I tried using a vice grip and some pliers to hold the stud in place while I threaded the nut, but I don't see how I'm going to be able to torque this one down.
Do I have to replace the entire ball joint, or is there a way around this?
TIA folks

buy a new castle nut. used castle nuts get distorted just enough to cause too much friction.
you can try to tap the old nut too.
or you can just impact gun it on if you have it available.
