Default Question about integra brakes in my 4g...

Got the DA front brakes, but pedal feels mushy. Brakes have been bled correctly. The pedal feels mushy, has a weak initial bite.
Decided it was my MC. It's a 88 Civic Standard MC, which probably isn't up to handling the bigger brakes.

I know the 90 EX MC bolts in...but do i need (or should I get) the proportioning valve too?

Thanks

if you press the brake and i dont brake until you press all the way it could be the master cilinder
but the proportion valve i tink is the problem

well they suggest getting at least the proportioning valve. to tell you the honest truth I have a 90 DX which all EFs have the same parts except for the 90-91 crx SI's but I have tegs on all 4 corners and I didn't replace any thing and they work greeeeeeat

The pedal will feel kinda mushy compared to stock because of the additional fliud needed to push the larger pistons on the calipers. You will get used to it but if you want it to be more solid then you need to get a larger master cylinder.

I put a MC/booster from a 90 teg in my car. It was a pain in the *** to get in but it made an increadable difference in brake pedal. It's got a nice light feel with very little travel at all. I also have the 11" prelude rotor/Type R calipers up front and rear 90 teg disk in the back. Stock proportion valve

i had the same problem my civic hatch 89 si i put 94 gsr brakes on it and the pedal was mushy and i bled um right but then i just left it like that and it got better after a while plus i got used to it but i asked a bunch of mechanics and they said that u cant change by the master cylinder that just distributes the fluid evenly it wont give u a better pedal, u can try to change the pedal but the master cylinder wont do it
